About Me

My approach to treatment integrates cognitive-behavioral therapy, positive psychology, and mindfulness.  I have found that most people benefit from learning stress management techniques to quiet down the fight-or-flight response and decrease levels of distress. With lower levels of distress, it is easier to engage in the processes that build on strengths and promote positive change.

I understand that change is difficult and can feel overwhelming. We work together to create a plan that is meaningful and realistic for you.  I often believe it is useful to do “homework” between sessions to help bring about positive change more quickly and to arm you with a toolbox of coping strategies to use in the future.
